Funding and Financials

BSR holds US 501(c)(3) status in the US and according to its 990 tax filing reported revenue of $19.1MN in 2017 of which $11.8MN is listed as consulting revenue and $4.8MN from membership dues. It is thus likely that BSR obtains 87% of its revenue from the corporate sector. BSR CEO Aron Cramer received compensation of $415K in 2017 according to its 501(c)(3) filings.

Links with Business on Climate Change

BSR essentially operates a service operation for business with provision of consulting, membership services and conferences/seminars. It is part of numerous collaborations including the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance, Future of Fuels and a partner of the We Mean Business coalition “working with the world’s most influential businesses to take action on climate change”. Its climate related clients are noted here and include GM, Toyota, Total, Shell International and many others.
